Taru Tagama-Luaga is the longtime schoolteacher of Rex and Tom-Tom, and later teacher of Kit and Heloise. She is married to Lamanda Luaga.

The first meeting of Miss Tagama and President Luaga.
President Luaga and Miss Tagama marries.

Miss Tagama was brought to the Deep Woods to educate the Phantom's adopted son Rex and his friend Tom-Tom. Rex King Later on she became the teacher of Kit and Heloise. After having met President Luaga T, a love relationship began to develop.

She married President Luaga and became First Lady of Bangalla. Battle of the Jungle Boys The Phantom prevented an assassination attempt at their wedding. The assassin came from Ughland, and when the attempt failed, the First Lady was kidnapped to Ughland. She was able to secretly provide information so the Phantom could rescue her. The Kidnappers She and President Luaga became guardians of Kit and Heloise when Diana was missing and presumed dead after a terrorist attack in Mawitaan. The Death of Diana Palmer Walker
