Numbering

I have heard that he is referred to as the 21st in "Rex, The Missing Heir" and that that story marked a lot of new changes so that there has been assumptions that it was then Falk made him the 21st. I think this information was in "Fantomen Talar" in Fantomen 12/2001 where they pointed out that it was said already in 1950 that he know that he is the son of 20 generations before him. If I am correct, then Falk made him the 21st in 1969 and Team Fantomen then accepted this first in the mid 1970s. I am writing this in order to get some clarification of what exactly is stated about which number the 21st had in the beginning and this appear to be the right place to discuss such matters. You (and Fantomen 12/01) might very well be correct that there are no contradictions about the numbering of the current Phantom from "Rex the Missing Heir" and on. It should be noted however that the Fantomen editor exaggerates a bit when claiming that this story includes a lot of changes - besides Worubu (and maybe the Phantom numbering) there are no such changes. However - it might be seen as one of the stories preceding the changed Falk did in the early 1970's (Bengali -> Bengalla -> Bangalla (1972); Morristown -> Mowiton -> Mawitaan (1972); the (confirmed) African location (1971)). Until we can confirm anything, we better - just as Karl Man says - keep the discussion on the talk page, off the proper article, though. Pjär 17:06, 11 March 2008 (CET)

Appearance

I was wondering if we should include a page for lists of major character appearances for the phantom i know it would be large but to shorten it we include stories about the 21st phantom and leave out stories with him reading about past phantoms thoughts ?? --Dark Lord Xander4 03:35, 25 April 2008 (CEST)

Definetely, if we can just make it look good. Andreas 13:00, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Age of the Phantom

The summary of details given regarding the Phantom's age is interesting, however it cannot be used to draw any conclusions. For example, Rex was specifically gien the age 12 years in Lee Falk's last stories featuring him, and 15 in the recent Sunday The Eternal Triangle. The twins however, seem to have grown up faster than that. In other words, all we can conclude is that the Phantom (like all other characters surrounding the current Phantom) are as old as the creators want them to be in that particular story. All information about age and when stories take place should be mentioned somewhere however, preferably at each respective story article. Andreas 13:00, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

I agree that it should be mentioned somewhere and that the respective story article is a good place. However, if I have not read the story it could be hard to know of any age remarks. I think that a compilation of different mentionings of his age would be good if it existed somewhere. Otherwise, you will have to make your own research of the site, before making any conclusions, instead of having the references collected at one place, where they easily could be read. Perhaps this article is not the correct one to put such things at, but there could be created a special article, compiling all references and sorting them by "creator team" (Lee Falk, Team Fantomen, Fratelli Spada, Moonstone, etc).
