Seura is a Finnish weekly magazine that published "The Phantom" Sunday strip from 1959 to 2011.

History

"The Phantom" first appeared in Seura in 1959. Seura is a a weekly family magazine, but there used to be two double issues per year, one during summertime and one in the end of the year. Seura was retitled as Suur-Seura during a perioid from #40/1974 to #31/1979. The most of Phantom strips has been published in color, but there are also many weeks in black and white. Later when the comics section was located in the end of the magazine, all strips were printed in color.

Promotion for the upcoming Phantom comic strip; from Seura (August 26, 1959).
