Paul Colbert was the husband of Julie, the Female Phantom. He died of malaria.
Fictional Character Biography
According to the newspaper strip
Julie acted as the Phantom and saved a missionary from river pirates. After she rescued him, it became apparent to Julie's twin brother the 17th Phantom that Julie was in love with the missionary. With a little help from the 17th Phantom, Julie and the missionary are married. The Female Phantom

Paul Colbert was married to Julie after being saved by her from river pirates. After several years of marriage, he became ill with malaria and died. His death made Julie go to Paris and study medicine. Julie
