"Murder in the Eyes" is a 1994 Team Fantomen story, written by Tony DePaul, with art by Kari Leppänen.
Plot summary
Diana and her children are visiting her mother and uncle Dave in Westchester. The Phantom is also on his way, unsucessfully trying to call Diana from the airplane. Another attempt to call from the airport is also unsuccessful. In the taxi from the airport the Phantom reads about a murderer dressed as Santa Claus. A man dressed in a Santa costume stop in front of the taxi and shoot the driver dead. The murderer leave the scene running and into a large tent in Central Park. The Phantom run after and discover that the tent is full of men dressed as Santas, who go their between assignments.
To find the murderer, the Phantom volunteers to be a Santa, collecting money for charity in Greenwich Village.
