• Colonel Worobu has a mustache instead of his usual goatee. The only other story to show Worobu with this look is "The Dead River", published in Fantomen the year after "Luaga's Undercover Tour" was published there.
• Salla is mentioned, but misspelled as Sala. He is not seen, but instead Big Bart is seen but not mentioned by name.
• The Phantom that founded the Jungle Patrol is only identified as "an early Phantom" and the formation was "300 years ago".
