Hans "Hasse" Lindahl (born October 15, 1954) is a Swedish comics creator who has created Phantom stories since 1983.
Biography
Lindahl worked as a paper boy, a book binder and in a bank before his professional career as a cartoonist.[1] In 1978 in an issue of Fantomen he saw a call for unpublished cartoonists to submit material to a comic magazine, Svenska Serier that was about to publish its first issue. Lindahl's contribution was the adventure comic "Axel B. Storm" in two parts. Ulf Granberg was editor of Svenska Serier and offered Lindahl the opportunity to draw Phantom stories for the Fantomen comic book.[1] His first published submssion to Fantomen was the supplemental comic Tänkaren in Fantomen 12/1982.[1]
Lindahl's first Phantom stories were published in 1983, and already in his first year he proved very popular among the readers as one of his stories was voted most popular by the Swedish readers.[2]
From 1990 to 1993 he only drew a few Phantom stories and instead focused on other comics: the comedy strip "Lilla Fridolf" and the action comics "Chuck Riley" and "Murphys lag" ("Murphy's Law", scripted by Claes Reimerthi).
From 1994 and onwards he has again been a cornerstone in Team Fantomen, not only as an artist but since 1998 as a writer as well.
From 2013 to 2015, Claes Reimerthi and Hans Lindahl were editors managing the production of new Team Fantomen stories. Lindahl also retired from working on Phantom covers and stories that year.
