El Fantasma was the title of a Mexican comic book dedicated to the Phantom published by Edar in 1966.
History
El Fantasma was published weekly and the first twelve issues featured stories from the Italian publisher Fratelli Spada. The following issues featured Sunday stories by Lee Falk and Wilson McCoy.
Some covers were taken from the original Italian issues with artwork by Mario Caria, but most were created by local artists and have never appeared elsewhere. Only 16 issues were published in total.
Since the first stories were taken from Italy, the Phantom's costume was red for this series.
