SibinSlavković is a Yugoslavian/Serbian cover artist.

Biography

Sibin Slavković is penciller, illustrator and long-time editor of the famous Yugoslavian magazine "YU strip" and even more famous "Stripoteka" magazine. He was born in Žunjevići, Novi Pazar in 1953. His comic career started in 1975 in "Dečje Novine". Later he became an editor of "YU strip" magazine. In 1982 he moved to the "Marketprint" publishing company where he edited "Stripoteka" and worked on the "Tarzan" comics. Under the pen-name "S. Žunjević" he drew many episodes of "Veliki Blek" (in original Italian version "Il grande Blek") licensed comics for Novi Sad publisher "Dnevnik". He also illustrated many books, schoolbooks, didactic manuals and textbooks. His most prominent works are "Cepanica" (in English it means "Log"), "Vendes", "Stormy & Iceberg", and "Una conchita, un caballero y un pistolero" (from the "Sheriff Shield" serial). He received an award from the Belgrade "Strip salon" (Comic exhibition) for his contribution in comic publishing.
