"The Masked Ball" is the 104th Phantom daily story. The story was written by Lee Falk and drawn by Sy Barry.

Plot Summary

The Phantom , Diana , Dave and Lily attend a masked charity ball in New York. A newly released crook Dan (who was captured by the Phantom) is at the ball dressed as a pirate. 5 minutes before midnight he tries to rob the peopel at the ball. His beard however slips off, Phantom notices the skull mark and then defeats the villains.

  • The villain Dan was drawn to look like Sy Barry's brother Dan Barry, who was the artist of the "Flash Gordon" newspaper strip.
