The Beaver County Times is an American newspaper that published "The Phantom" daily strip from 1950 to 1971.

History

The Beaver County Times is a newspaper published in Beaver, Pennsylvania. The Beaver Times was founded by Michael Weyland and was published from 1851 to 1895, when the name was changed to The Beaver Argus. It was changed again to The Daily Times, which was published from 1909 to 1946. The paper was known as The Beaver Valley Times until 1960, when it became The Beaver County Times. In 1979, The Times purchased the only other daily newspaper in the county, The News Tribune of Beaver Falls. "The Phantom" first appeared in The Beaver Valley Times in May 1950.
