New template

This is a suggestion for a new template, it may not look so pretty but the idea is to combine it with another template, like Template:Sweden. That way we only need to do changes in one place when we want to update the list of countries or change how it looks. I have also added some "red links" to countries that I know have published Phantom comics, but where we haven't made any detailed lists yet. What do you think? Andreas 09:26, 12 November 2008 (CET)

Looks Good and I think its what we need so people know where phantom has been printed. Also makes it easy to navigate from country to country. --Dark Lord Xander7 02:02, 13 November 2008 (CET)

I reverted Dark Lord Xander's edit as it messed up the Template:Sweden, then I made a slight change, moving the other countries heading so that it have to be altered in the templates as not all these template have the same color. Karl MAN-- 19:41, 13 November 2008 (CET)

I see that Andreas has reverted my latest edit. I must, however, insist that that line will lie in the other templates as they have different colors and that part of the template also should get the same color (If this testing is deemed successful). Karl MAN-- 20:59, 13 November 2008 (CET)

I still think this should be a separate template to the other country ones as the Swedish one is way to long --Dark Lord Xander7 22:41, 13 November 2008 (CET)

Sorry, I did not think about that. I just thought it would be good to have all the text that is shared between all templates in one place. Andreas 23:57, 13 November 2008 (CET)
I really like this template. I merged the North America and the South America entries though (The Americas is an existing word ;) ). Maybe we could put in the "hide" parameter in the template? --Pjär 12:43, 17 November 2008 (CET)
That was my intention, but when I tried I could not make it work. Andreas 11:27, 21 November 2008 (CET)

Row break

I would prefer if the Europe part would be divided into two rows instead of just one; the row length would become the same as the rest of the Swedish template and it would not be so much empty space in it. I made that change earlier and I thought that it became rather good, though Andreas changed it back later. Karl MAN-- 19:18, 20 November 2008 (CET)

The problem with the row breaks is that depending on the resolution and screen width you are using, it can look really strange. Then you will have one row break that is caused by the screen width (if the entire line does not fit on one row), and another row break that already exists in the template. I would prefer if we had no row breaks in the template and let the screen width adjust it automatically. Andreas 11:27, 21 November 2008 (CET)

Adding to other Templates

Now that the countries template is working well with the swedish template should we add it to the other country navigation templates ? --Dark Lord Xander7 00:07, 26 November 2008 (CET)

I think so, we are still discussing some things but I think they can be changed later on so the template should be OK to use. Andreas 11:11, 26 November 2008 (CET)
